Maybe Killer IOT App is in Self-Driving Vehicles

Having thought about this for sometime, your points are valid about the dubious sense of value in discreet or amorphous applications. But it seems to me that self-driving vehicles afford the entry point for the killer app.

In the end, a self-driving vehicle effectively become another home or office room with time and space to do something. Consequently, many of the same task options done in the home or office will be done in the vehicles but with far less space. Also, any extra time spent in setting up such options, especially in common commute situations, would be a nuisance.

Consequently, as with IOT generally, every option available in a self-driving vehicle will need to be integrated into a single dashboard interface (probably with voice I/O). This new, but self-contained environment, then lends itself to self-behavioral modification and thus a conditioned expectation for time-saving ease of use.
