All True, But Problems Go Beyond the Workplace

There is a great Bob Dylan song, Ballad Of A Thin Man, with an apropos chorus, “…something is happening here. But I don’t know what it is.” Everywhere I look, including in my own life, this problem is growing. So much so that I wrote two articles on the topic you might find interesting.

The personal view is entitled, Addiction to Infinite Present is Spreading. The larger zeitgeist is entitled, Infinite Present — Our Digital Dark Age

The real source of the problem and full implications, while unclear, seem reflect the classic phrase of Marshall McLuhan, “First we shape our tools, and thereafter they shape us.” Thus, perhaps, in the larger flow of time, it is why we seem destined to pass the baton of life’s chores to the machines.
